Lambada Set

A two-piece set in pale blue mesh: a fitted sleeveless top with a square neckline, and low-slung trousers that run straight through the thigh before flaring gently at the hem, with open slashes cut across the knee. Worn together they read as one long, watery silhouette; worn apart they each go somewhere else.

The mesh is fine, stretchy and semi-sheer, printed with a soft wash of sky blue and pale coral that looks like light on water. It moves with the wind rather than against it.

Both pieces are made to be thrown over swimwear without a second thought — and they dry almost as fast as you can put them on.

Polyester mesh, unlined and semi-sheer. Sold as a two-piece set: top and trousers.

Hand wash cold with a mild detergent, or machine wash on a delicate cycle inside a laundry bag. Do not bleach, do not wring and do not tumble dry. Reshape and dry flat in the shade. Iron only on the lowest setting through a cloth, and keep the mesh away from rings, clasps and rough surfaces.

Designed on the Colombian Caribbean coast and produced in small runs.

The top is sleeveless and fitted with a square neck; the trousers sit low on the hip, cut straight through the leg with a soft flare at the hem and open slashes at the knee. Both are semi-sheer, so a swimsuit underneath is part of the look.

As a set over a matching bikini it is a complete beach outfit. Split up, the trousers go with a plain bralette or a white tee, and the top works under an open shirt or a linen jacket.
