Lollipop Bikini Set

Two colours, split down the middle. The Lollipop is a colour-block triangle bikini in yellow and purple: one cup of each on the top, the same division carried across the bottom, and a small gold ring set at each hip where the panels meet. Nothing else is going on, which is exactly why it works.

The top is a classic triangle on thin adjustable straps that ties at the back and the neck, so it adapts rather than fits one way. The bottom sits low, runs high on the leg and keeps a clean line at the front, with the rings doing the only decorative work.

Yellow and purple sit opposite each other on the colour wheel, which is why this pair looks louder than it actually is.

Sold as a set: triangle top and low-rise bottom, with metal ring hardware at the hips.

Rinse in cold fresh water straight after every swim — chlorine, salt and sun cream are what actually ruin swimwear. Hand wash cold with a mild soap, never wring, and dry flat in the shade. No machine wash, no tumble dryer, no fabric softener.

Dry the metal rings with a soft cloth after a swim so they keep their finish.

A triangle top that ties at the neck and the back, so you set the fit yourself, over a low-rise bottom cut high on the leg.

With two strong colours already in play, keep everything else quiet: a white crochet cardigan, a checked sarong, gold hoops. It also splits well — the yellow-and-purple bottom works under a plain top, and the triangle top passes as a bralette under an open shirt.

The ties make it the most adaptable of the three Saudade sets.
