Purple Caipirinha Bikini Set

Violet with a red edge. The Purple Caipirinha is built on one idea: a saturated purple lifted by a fine contrast trim in red that runs along the underwire of the top and around the edges of the bottom, so the shape is drawn in the second colour instead of being left to the cut.

The top is a balconette with a light underwire and thin adjustable straps — structured enough to hold on its own, narrow enough not to mark the shoulder. The bottom sits low on the hip and ties at both sides, with the ties finished in the same red, and it is cut high on the leg with a rounded back.

Saudade de Você treats a bikini as a garment rather than a strip of fabric: the cut is drafted, the edges are bound, and the colour is chosen to sit well on skin.

Sold as a set: balconette top and tie-side bottom.

Rinse in cold fresh water straight after every swim — chlorine, salt and sun cream are what actually ruin swimwear. Hand wash cold with a mild soap, never wring, and dry flat in the shade. No machine wash, no tumble dryer, no fabric softener.

Avoid sitting directly on rough stone or pool edges, which pulls the fibres and dulls the colour.

The top is underwired and adjustable at the shoulder, so it holds shape on its own rather than relying on the tie. The bottom ties at both hips, which lets you set how low it sits, and the leg is cut high with moderate coverage at the back.

The red trim is the reason this one reads as designed rather than plain: pair it with gold jewellery, a plain white shirt or a natural raffia bag and leave the rest alone.

The top is structured enough to wear under an open shirt or a mesh cover-up at lunch.
