Violet Bikini Set

The most worked of the Saudade sets. A one-shoulder top in a bright, faintly glossy violet, cut on the diagonal and outlined in cream piping, with the single strap made of small beads strung along the shoulder instead of the usual band of elastic. The bottom repeats the piping and picks up the same beads in a short link at each hip.

The asymmetry is the point: one bare shoulder, one line of colour cutting across the body, and no straps at the back to interrupt it. The leg is cut high and the seat keeps a moderate coverage, so the silhouette stays long rather than exposed.

The beaded details make this the pair that gets noticed, and the top works as a going-out piece long after the beach.

Sold as a set: one-shoulder top and high-leg bottom, both finished with cream piping and beaded detailing.

Rinse in cold fresh water straight after every swim — chlorine, salt and sun cream are what actually ruin swimwear. Hand wash cold with a mild soap, never wring, and dry flat in the shade. No machine wash, no tumble dryer, no fabric softener.

Dry the beaded strap and hip links gently with a soft cloth, and store the set flat so the beads are not pulled out of line.

Because the top is asymmetric it changes the whole line of the body, so keep the rest simple: wet hair, small gold earrings, no necklace competing with the beaded strap.
